In this recording project the Propers (polyphonic settings of the specific liturgical texts \u2018proper\u2019 to each feast) \u2013 Introit, Alleluia, Sequence, Communion \u2013 appear in correct chronological order and interspersed with the movements from some of the lesser-known and very beautiful mass compositions by Orlande de Lassus. On the first CD of the series, the Lassus Chamber Choir, conducted by Ite O\u2019Donovan, presents the wonderful settings for the Christmas Day.
